Christmas Gifts - Handmade is ALWAYS best!

So if you follow me on Facebook and listen to my lives, you heard me talk about how I made some gifts for my sisters bosses and coworkers.  I wanted to wait until she had given them to them just in case.  Well I can now share those with you.  These are actually my favourite gifts to give, well anything handmade is my favourite but I LOVE giving books to as gifts as I feel that no matter what your day to day job is you can always use a personalized note book.  Maybe it is the Admin in me but I have always said that if I need to take notes it better be in a pretty book!

So the first request my sister gave me came with a picture of a vase that had a lot of the Bermuda Bay colours in it.  I always struggle with getting the right colour combinations.  You can't see from the picture but the flowers have Wink of Stella on them.  This is the new Dragonfly Garden stamp set.  Isn't it beautiful?  Did you notice the coloured gems?  Did you know how I did that?  Well I used my blends and coloured the rhinestones.  I know!  This is a great way to coordinate your embellishments to your project.

The second book the instructions were a lot of green and earthy colours. So this stamp set is from the coordinating stamp set of the Dragonfly Garden set.  I LOVE this set.  So I stamped it out on scrap piece of Whisper White then cut it out using the dies.  I used my blends (of course) to colour them and then popped it up on the Ornate Garden dies.  I love how this one turned out too to be honest.  So different from the one above but so pretty just the same.  And I am not going to lie.  I might be a bit obsessed with the alphabet set and the foam sheets.  I am finding I am using them on EVERYTHING!

So the last item is a Lindor Chocolate Gift Card Holder.  So my sister needed 4 gift card holders and I was just going to do my standard go to.  But then I thought, nope, we need to add chocolate.  This holder is so simple to do but always gets a wow from people.  So my club ladies made this as one of their projects this month and I think I am safe to say that the loved it as most of them recreated more of these for their friends and family.
