I realized recently that it has been a very long time since I have provided you all an update on where I am standing with my Hospice Fundraiser! I guess time is flying by and I didn't realize how long it had been. Although I am still very, very far away from my goal, I am still happy to see this number rising.
If you are not familiar with the St. Joesph's Hospice here in Sarnia, I would be shocked. Every local person seems to have known somebody that has had to use these services. I have never heard one incredibly bad thing about this service and it runs solely on donations from the community. If you have a loved one at the end of life, this is the place you want them to be. They allow them to pass with dignity and the staff has such incredible compassion. After your loved one has passed, that compassion and love continues with special notes and kind gestures. Our family was so impressed by this that I have decided to donate 10% of all my sales this year directly to the Hospice.
